Jim Hurtado introduced himself to us as the founder and Chief Executive Officer of DanIsa's Group, Limited Liability Company.  He later granted us this interview.

La Liberad:  Where were you born?

Jim:  I was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador and came to Brooklyn, New York in 1976.La Liberad:  Where do you currently reside? Jim:  I currently reside in Fanwood, New Jersey.La Liberad:  What is your current occupation?

Jim:  I have a Design and Build firm in Fanwood, New Jersey.

La Libertad:  What do you love most about your work?


Jim:  I love to design and Build new interior spaces and new projects

La Libertad:  What are your hobbies?

Jim:  My favorite hobby is to be able to take an antiquated space, and give a face lift, and make it full of new uses, as well as creating a positive flow to the new space, and elegance.

The way that you can take something old and new, and rearrange it, and creating a great interior space with harmony and sophistication.

La Libertad:  What is the hardest part of your job?

Jim:  To be able to convince my clients that more is not necessarily better, and that sometimes less is better and more.

La Libertad:  What foreign languages do you read, write, speak, and understand?

Jim:  Since I was born in Ecuador, my first language is Spanish.

La Libertad:  Where have you traveled?

Jim:  I love the Caribbean; I have traveled to a large number of the islands, such as Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Saint Martin, Aruba, the Bahamas, Saint Thomas, et cetera, and several States in the U.S.A.

La Libertad:  What are your career goals?

Jim:  My career goal is to be a renowned and award-winning Design and Build entrepreneur and inventor.

La Libertad:  What projects are you currently working on?

Jim:  I am currently working on a new residence in Lake Luzerne, New York, and renovating my office.

La Libertad:  What upcoming projects do you intend to be involved in?

Jim:  I would like to enter... an architectural competition, and win, and also be able to organize a charity event [for] autism, diabetes, or cancer, and raise a large sum of money for the cause.
