Interview with J.D. Driskill

LA Libertad:  What is your occupation?

JD:  I am an actor, writer, and musician.

LA Libertad:  In which city and State do you live?

JD:  I currently reside in the always sunny and never quiet city of Los Angeles, California.

LA Libertad:  What do you love most about your work?

JD:  I love the fact that I get to use multiple outlets to express myself - not only as an actor, but as a writer and musician.

LA Libertad:  Do you have any other talents or hobbies?

JD:  I like to keep busy all the time.  As a kid I grew up playing sports, so I like to occasionally go out and play some basketball with friends.

LA Libertad:  What inspires you?

JD:  My mentor Gerry Cullity, who passed away roughly nine years ago, taught me how to be a performer and artist.  He owned a theatre in Arizona called Desert Stages, and I was lucky enough to have him as a mentor for five years.  To this day he's still the most talented man I've met in the business.

LA Libertad:  What is the hardest part of your job?

JD:  I don't like to think of it as a job because I'm getting to do what I love.  I think the key is to continue working on your craft; we never stop learning.

LA Libertad:  Do you speak any other languages?

JD:  Besides English, my best friend and I came up with our own language when we were younger.  We never did give it a name, though.

LA Libertad:  Where have you traveled?

JD:  I've traveled all over the U.S., and have been to Mexico.  I do have a passport and plan on using it very soon.

LA Libertad:  What are your goals for your career?

JD:  I want to be able to have longevity in this business.  A lot of people want to be famous or rich, I just want to do what I love for the rest of my time on Earth.

LA Libertad:  Any upcoming projects?

JD:  I am currently working on multiple projects; I am playing Count Oliver in "Natural Born Filmmakers," writing three films for Empire FilmsAlex Grant, How To Destroy Angels, and Night to Night.  I am also in the writing process for my sophomore album, Flight From D.C., with up-and-coming producer Blake Brown.

LA Libertad:  Do you have any links you would like to share?

JD:  My website, which is under construction, is

www.jddriskill.com

my Twitter,

www.twitter.com/jddriskill

and my Instagram is
