La Libertad: What is your occupation?
Joseph & Billy Pepitone: We are Writers/Producers.
La Libertad: In which city and state do you live?
Joseph: Manalapan, New Jersey
Billy: Morristown, Pennsylvania
La Libertad: What do you love most about your work?
Joseph: We love creating characters and having no boundaries as to
where they go or what they do. You can put them in any situation you want when
you are writing.
Joseph: There isn’t a lot of time for anything else. Writing,
working and family fill up most of the day.
La Libertad: What inspires you?
Billy: Seeing talented people do incredible work. After seeing a
movie that is really done well, I’ll say that’s what I want to do. That makes
us want to go out and try to create something great. Even if we don’t achieve
it at least the drive and desire is there.
La Libertad: What is the hardest part of your job?
Joseph: I work slowly. I’ll have a hundred ideas in my head but
it takes me a while to sit down and write it all out. Then I will go over and
over a scene before I am happy with it. The process is grueling for me. My
brother Billy is able to write quickly and is more prolific then me. It comes a
lot easier to him.
La Libertad: Do you speak any other languages?
Joseph & Billy Pepitone: No
La Libertad: Where have you traveled?
Joseph: I go back and forth to Los Angeles a lot for work and
have been to Hawaii, Turks and Caicos, Punta Cana among others on vacations.
Billy: I’ve traveled throughout Europe.
La Libertad: What are your goals for your career?
Joseph: We want to continue to write good stories that are
entertaining and just have fun. The reason we started doing this is because we
want the freedom to do what we enjoy.
La Libertad: Any upcoming projects?
Joseph: Stuck in the Middle has been distributed through
R-Squared Films and is currently available on Amazon. We are in pre-production
for a new comedy The Jersey Devil and have two horror films we wrote- The Meat
Puppet and Gravedigger in post-production.
