Interview With Tanya Katchouni

Introduction by William Mortensen Vaughan  Tanya Katchouni told us she "would like to be submitted for an issue of La Libertad Magazine."  We are glad someone did!

LA Libertad:  Where were you born?

Tanya:  Montreal, Canada.

LA Libertad:  What is your occupation?

Tanya:  Actor.

LA Libertad:  In which city and State do you live?

Tanya:  Los Angeles.

LA Libertad:  What do you love most about your work?

Tanya:  I love attempting to experience the world through the eyes, soul and heart of another character. I get a kick out of discovering what the character and me have in common and learning through them. I also enjoy the collaborative nature of film-making and theatre.  So, lots of things!  This is a tough question!

LA Libertad:  Do you have any other talents or hobbies?

Tanya:  Dancing in the mirror, singing in the shower, and pretending to be a gourmet chef (I’m actually pretty good).

LA Libertad:  What inspires you?

Tanya:  Everything that surrounds me.  I am a one of those creepy people watchers.

LA Libertad:  What is the hardest part of your job?

Tanya:  I guess being far away from my family and most of my friends...  Missing birthdays and certain events...

LA Libertad:  Do you speak any other languages?

Tanya:  Français [winks].

LA Libertad:  Where have you traveled?

Tanya:  Lots of be-beachy places!  I’m a beach bum.  Also, Paris and most of Canada, for work.  I would like to travel much, much more!

LA Libertad:  What are your goals for your career?

Tanya:  To never stop growing and learning.

LA Libertad:  Any upcoming projects?

Tanya:  I have a beautiful Indie film, Dear Sister, which should be screened at several festivals in the upcoming year, and the web series “Monogamy,” scheduled to be released very soon.  I also just shot the trailer for the Indie thriller "Him."

LA Libertad:  Do you have any links you would like to share?

www.imdb.me/tanya

www.tanyakatchouni.com

LA Libertad:  Is there anything else you would like to tell our readers?

Tanya:  Do what makes you happy because life is too short.  So love more, laugh more, and enjoy your life!
