LA Libertad:  Where were you born?

Al:  San Francisco.

LA Libertad:  Where do you currently reside?

Al:  Los Angeles, in the Westwood area, near U.C.L.A.

LA Libertad:  What is your occupation?

Al:  I am [the] Property Manager of a mid-rise, luxury apartment building.

LA Libertad:  What do you love most about your work?

Al:  I love to resolve everything that comes my way quickly, so that I don't keep anyone waiting.  If you ask me for something, I get it for you right away.

LA Libertad:  What inspires you?

Al:  The creative process, writing, and building something I know could be fun and worthwhile.

LA Libertad:  What is the hardest part of your job(s)?

Al:  With property management, it's collecting the rent.  In making a film, it's trying to keep the faith, and finishing the project.

LA Libertad:  What foreign languages, if any, do you read, write, and/or speak?

Al:  I know "kitchen" Spanish. [Laughs out loud.]  I grew up in a Mexican-American family in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

LA Libertad:  Where have you traveled?

Al:  All over Mexico, England, the Virgin Islands, N.Y.C. [New York City]...

LA Libertad:  What are your career goals?

Al:  I'm somewhat satisfied with my property management career; I work for a great company, and have a nice salary, great perks; and I live close to my son. For film-making, my goal is to land a deal and get one of my projects signed as a T.V. series.  That would be a dream come true!

LA Libertad:  What projects are you working on?

Al:  I just released "The Rent," a TV pilot project which is getting most of my attention right now.  I'm promoting the show to try and get it picked up. I'm also working on developing another TV show idea with a veteran Los Angeles based production company, but those details are not being released at this time.

LA Libertad:  What upcoming events, if any, do you intend to participate in?

Al:  I've been very busy booking interviews for THE RENT with radio stations, online magazines, and talk shows. Other than that, I will be attending the Bel Air Film Festival.

LA Libertad:  What links would you like to share?

Al:

LA Libertad:  What else, if anything, would you like to tell our readers?

Al:  I'm very appreciative of the opportunities  that I have been given with the very little that I have. I always work hard and have the resolve to finish what I start which I think is most important.
