LA Libertad: Where were you born?
Rene: Bronx, New York.
LA Libertad: Where do you currently reside?
Rene: Between Harlem, New York, and my studio/gallery in Saddle Brook, New Jersey.
LA Libertad: What is your occupation?
Rene: I am a Design Engineer and owner of Alquimi Innovations (www.alquimi.com).
LA Libertad: What do you love most about your work?
Rene: Being creative and able to build almost anything I can imagine professionally.
LA Libertad: What talents and hobbies do you have?
Rene: I am an artist, painter, sculptor and design engineer. My hobbies are dancing ballroom, salsa and blues; and playing a little guitar. Other than that, I am a workaholic.
LA Libertad: What inspires you?
Rene: Beauty, social need, the future, innovation...
LA Libertad: What is the hardest part of your job(s)?
Rene: Finding resources.
LA Libertad: What foreign languages, if any, do you read, write, and/or speak?
Rene: I speak, read, and write English, speak and understand Spanish, and have been learning French for the last few years.
LA Libertad: Where have you traveled?
Rene: I have been to Spain, France, Mexico, Columbia, D.R. [Dominican Republic], P.R. [Puerto Rico], and Florida. [Smiles.]
LA Libertad: What are your career goals?
Rene: I also co-own a renewable development business, and keep my finger on the pulse of opportunity (alquimisolar.com). I have multiple designs for solar racking, including for floating solar arrays, and many other, really cool adaptations for renewable energy.
LA Libertad: What projects are you working on?
Rene: Karma - the Game of Destiny is my primary focus at the moment. Our Kickstarter Campaign is important to raising funds and awareness of the game.
LA Libertad: What upcoming events, if any, do you intend to participate in?
Rene: Open right now, and looking for good venues to highlight the game...
