LA Libertad:  Is there anything else you would like to tell our readers?

A.:  I make pictures.  Artist giving a voice to women through art...

I’ve criss-crossed the nation physically and online, [trying] to garner attention for my Heart of Women concept.  The results have been have been met with the same answer, "NO!"

The reasons have been different - the results the same.

The story idea is simple, yet compelling.  Women who have experienced domestic violence, abuse, and rape, express emotions and tell their stories through art.

I now present this to you with a request for assistance.

My name is A. Kaye.
I am sixty-seven years old.  A single mother in Chicago raised me.

Now, I’m an artist and photographer... living in Richardson, Texas.

That’s about six hundred sixty-three point five miles [from] Nashville, Tennesee.

Coincidentally, although [I am] from Chicago, my educational roots are in Tennessee.

I attended Memphis State University long before it became the University of Memphis.

I spent over half my life photographing sports, live entertainment, people, and travel destinations.

I created The Heart of Women about nine years ago, as a way to give something back to all the women who’ve nurtured me.

Women always have been my inspiration - friends, teachers, mentors, and role models.

I have many passions in life, but my passion for women is boundless.

They have formed and created my view of life and love.

It’s time to pay it forward.

The importance of The Heart of Women does [lies] not only... in the art.  The genuine significance reveals itself each time a woman embraces her inner strength, and exhibits her own heart, telling her story through the medium of paint.

Conceptually, The Heart of Women is an art form that battles the issues of rape/domestic violence straight up.

The art sessions provide women with a voice; they speak through their bodies, their art, their creativity, and their freedom.

They celebrate their humanity and natural beauty - inside and out.

The Heart of Women can be a vehicle to raise awareness of rape/domestic violence encouraging women to speak, to seek help, to set themselves free.

Each piece of art has an extremely personal connection.

This art comes from a desire to celebrate all women and spotlight fund raising for women-centered organizations - especially those dealing with rape, domestic violence, and abuse.

I envision your collaboration with The Heart of Women as one [of] power and strength.

You could be the vanguard to fight domestic abuse and rape [by]  helping draw attention to this art and its stories.  I've been working on this project ten years, [as of] this September.  I need a powerful and enthusiastic company who has the presence and voice that can gather media attention and create enthusiasm for the art and the music it can inspire.

As an unknown artist, the chance of being seen and heard is not unlike Greek mythology’s Sisyphus, punished by being compelled to roll an immense boulder up a hill, only to watch it roll back down, and to repeat this action forever.

There are many ways The Heart of Women art could be used.

I'm looking for a sponsor, agent, or gallery; [hopefully] we can discuss these ideas.

My parent company is called "Mother Was Right."

Fifty-five years ago, she kept telling me be an artist; apparently, “Mother was right.”

My soul and passion is art.

Women, since my youth, have been the driving force in my life.

This art can help make a DIFFERENCE in women’s lives.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks!
