She quotes: My life path includes Modeling & Acting internationally, traveling & hosting
Modeling workshops for Aspiring Models ALL over the world, and building my empire brand as a businesswoman.
La Libertad: What is your occupation?
Kenya Thomas: I am most definitely an Artist who happens to make a living by Modeling
and Acting. I'm also certified under the Board of Education as a Modeling
and Acting Instructor!
La Libertad: In which city and state do you live?
Kenya Thomas: I'm currently located in Atlanta, GA
La Libertad: What do you love most about your work?
Kenya Thomas: I love the fact that it motivates me to achieve greatness in life. Lots
of people get so caught up with life that they end up falling prey to
routine or getting "stuck". With my Art, once I accomplish one thing, my
mind is racing on how I can get to that next level !
Do you have any other talents or hobbies?
Kenya Thomas: I always make it a point to do what I like and like what I do. Once I
stop enjoying it, I need to stop doing it. All of the things I enjoy, I'm
currently doing - so I don't really have any extra hobbies!
La Libertad: What inspires you?
Kenya Thomas: Daydreaming lol. I'm constantly daydreaming about where my Art will bring
me, and all the abundance that'll come with it. I know we shouldn't focus
so much on the future and enjoy the presence, but the thought of what's to
come is SO exciting to me that it inspires me to work ULTRA hard in the
"now". I'm so inspired to do the best I can so that I can have the life
that I always envision in my head!
La Libertad: What is the hardest part of your job?
Kenya Thomas: I think the hardest part of anything in life is the self-doubt. But then
again... Here I am, a 22 year old, giving advice on life lol I believe
that everything in this Universe is energy, and it can only operate on
balance. That means that if there's positive energy, than there HAS to be
negative energy. I also believe that the enemy forces of this Universe
likes to attack in our minds. So lots of times the opportunities that can
be life changing for us, we don't go for it because the enemy arises fear
in our minds. It makes us question ourselves, it holds us back, it can
trick us into going into depression by making us think we're ugly, fat,
incapable of being loved, lonely, etc. I honestly believe that what
happens in life is only 10% what happens, 90% how you react to it. So that
battle in your head, trying to stay grounded, and knowing that the Creator
of the Universe has everything taken care of is definitely the hardest
part of what I do - ESPECIALLY when life starts to get really tough!
La Libertad: Do you speak any other languages?
Kenya Thomas: No, I'm so lame! haha! I've convinced myself that I'll end up dating a
Bi-lingual or Multi-lingual man, so I'm sure I'll be familiar with a
couple languages before I bite the dust! lol
La Libertad: Where have you traveled?
Kenya Thomas: Last year my "1st time" visitations included Chicago to film a TV
Commercial, Memphis to host a Modeling Competition, and Alabama to be a
Spokesmodel for a Celebrity tour. I've been all up and down the East
Coast, to Cali, and a random trip to Wisconsin lol I haven't been overseas
much, so a major goal for me is to work overseas. I've also convinced
myself that I'll make Europe my home in the near future!
La Libertad: What are your goals for your career?
Kenya Thomas: My goals are constantly changing - I'm extremely goal oriented. But now
I'm realizing that sometimes as humans what we want isn't nearly as big
enough for what we can actually achieve. There will be times when I want
something SO bad: I'll pray again and again for it, stay in faith, work
ruthlessly to get it, do everything in my power to have it... yet it
doesn't happen for me. Of course, I'll get upset and discouraged, but then
I realize what we get instead was SO much bigger than what i THOUGHT i
wanted! So now, my goals are to be the best caliber of "me" I can be in
this lifetime, achieve as much as I can in this Universe, and let myself
easily go wherever the Creator of the Universe created me to go!
La Libertad: Any upcoming projects?
Kenya Thomas: I do, but it's a secret - you'll have to tune in to find out! ;) For now
you'll be able to catch my Curls Unleashed on TV, in feature film "The
Internship" starring Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, in Essence Magazine,
Black Hair Magazine, and Be Wise Magazine!
