Freddie Crespo is an actor based in Southern California
La Libertad: How long have you been acting?
Freddie Crespo: I would say I have been acting since I was a teenager, I'm 28 now. So that would make it more than 15years.
La Libertad: What was your favorite role?
Freddie Crespo: I did a
short part of "Barefoot in the Park" where I played Paul Bratter. It
was a really good role where I got to play a strong loving character,
who cares a lot about his recent wife who is more of a free spirit and
not grounded to reality as he is.
La Libertad: Who have you really enjoyed working with?
Freddie Crespo: I've had many acting partners over the
years, most not known, and I've enjoyed working with all of them
differently, but I'd say working with a fellow classmate in school was
the most rewarding experience. I was really open with her and we saw
each other on our worst and best, and helped each other and grew
stronger.
La Libertad: What other languages do you speak?
Freddie Crespo: I am full bilingual in Spanish and English. And I want to start working now on losing my regional accent.
La Libertad: Where have you traveled to?
Freddie Crespo: I lived
in Puerto Rico all my life. But I have traveled all over the east
coast. New York City, Washington DC, New Jersey, Florida, Portland
Oregon. In 2011 I jumped the whole country to the west and up north to
Vancouver BC, Canada where I spent 16months living and studying acting,
and now relocated to South California in LA to pursue my career.
Freddie Crespo: I'm very
athletic so I workout a lot, don't play much games, but I surprise when
I play a sport and I'm really good at it. I'm a photographer, so one
of my hobbies is taking my camera and just shoot away, mostly unprepared
life and landscape. Then grabbing photoshop and just playing with the
images. I'm also an editor, so I love sitting down grabbing a video and
just editing away. I also love to draw when I get bored, and I'm very
technology savvy.
La Libertad: Any upcoming projects?
Freddie Crespo: So far auditioning a lot, hoping to figure out how to get an agent and expand.
La Libertad: What are your goals for your career?
Freddie Crespo: I just want to be happy and settled. I
won't lie when I say I wish I could be up there in the walk of fame,
where people see my name and just get inspired to make it there too.
But I'll be happy with a settled income, don't worry about paying my
bills, and still be acting and telling stories.
