This month La Libertad features interview with the director, producer, and an actor from the musical Museum of Living Art by Nappy Nation Theatre Group.
This interview is with Kam Talbert, an actor in the Museum of Living Art, which will be playing April 12th though 14th.
La Libertad: How long have you been acting?
Kam Talbert: I have been acting and singing for
almost 20 years
La Libertad:What was your favorite role?
Kam Talbert:In high school my favorite part was
being a black Elvis Pharaoh in Joseph and the amazing technicolor dream coat.
La Libertad: Who have you really enjoyed working
with?
Kam Talbert: Doing creative work with my Nappy Nation family and being an audio curator for hitrecord.org is really inspiring for me as an
artist.
La Libertad: Do you speak any other languages?
Kam Talbert: I can speak some Spanish... my accent
will have you thinking I know more spanish than I actually do..lol
La Libertad: Where have you traveled to?
Kam Talbert: Well, I actually walked across the
country with a group of artists called the United Souls of Awareness... that's a
long story. Internationally, I have
traveled all over from all around Europe to Japan.
La Libertad: What other talents do you have?
Kam Talbert: Well, I sing, act, rap, and dance...
film and edit... write and compose music... wait, let me just find my
resume...lol.
La Libertad: Do you have any current projects?
Kam Talbert: Museum of Living Art, the Chalan Ford Band, and working on my solo album.
La Libertad: Any upcoming projects?
Kam Talbert: I will be
apart of a new tv show produced by hitrecord.org for the new cable tv network
"Pivot"
La Libertad: What are your goals for your career?
Kam Talbert: I would like to be able to live a
creative artist life, creating what I want when I want and be able to feed and
support myself and family. I would love to get into more acting, film and
theater..
