Interview With Pamela Drake Wilson

cover, La Libertad, July 2015, Pamela Drake Wilson

I first met Pamela Drake Wilson when my father-in-law, James Green, introduced us on the set of a "Mystery Diners" episode.  Later, she told us that her Starmeter [rating] on the Internet Movie Database reached the top thirty thousand [out of approximately ten million people listed in the database], and that she is "certain [our] help on IMDb contributed to the hike."  (It was below fifty thousand.)  She also tells us that she hopes she has given us "some provocative material."  We think our readers will agree that she has!  As for the boost to her Starmeter rating, we may not have had anything to do with that, but we are happy for her either way.

[NOTE:  As of June 29, 2015, Pamela's Starmeter rating is in the top twenty thousand.]

La Libertad:  Where were you born?

Pam:  JacksonMichigan.

La Libertad:  What is your occupation?

Pam:  Actor and senior model.

La Libertad:  What do you love most about your work?

Pam:  Acting provides a wonderful outlet for emotion.  It's a way to take past experiences and rather than be derailed by the difficult ones, an actor can use them as a "positive" in his/her life.  So it's all good!

Secondly I embrace the challenge.  No one can tell me how to portray a certain feeling -how to conjure up a certain facial expression. It all has to come from your soul and I like that sense of integrity.

Thirdly, I can say and do what I truly feel without restraint and be loved and praised often and, slightly at least, financially rewarded for it. Any thing top that? Nothing I know of!

La Libertad:  What talents and hobbies do you have?

Pam:  Well, acting would certainly be a talent because it comes naturally to me.  It's not work at all.  At one time, before the digital world, I would have considered photography one of my talents.  My true gifts are with children and dogs and the elderly.  Children and pets have an automatic right to receive kindness and love, and the elderly have earned that right.

Hobbies would include cooking up nutritious soups, although  those whom I have fed may not see it as a worthwhile hobby!

Another hobby would be bicycling and hiking, as often as I can fit those in time-wise.

La Libertad:  What inspires you?

Pam:  My son's music.  He is  brilliantly creative and talented and gifted.  His voice is beguiling.  Watching him grow as a musician has been very exciting for mom.  He recently earned original song/writer/composer credits in the upcoming film Sky, for one of his songs, titled "Your Shoes."  Google "SanguinDrake" or "David Drake" and "the 8th House" to hear his music.  His partner in "SanguinDrake" (Sarah Carter) has achieved beautifully in her personal acting  career.  She actually has been a bit of an inspiration to me with regards to my acting.

Inspiring to me is a desire to disprove prejudice such as ageism being a factor to hold you back in acting, or being a woman being a factor.  Nonsense!  Down with excuses!

I like to break through barriers.  So we'll see how that goes.  As I can be wrong!
Pamela Drake Wilson
volunteering at Sundance

Another Hollywood myth I'd love to disable is the "almighty casting couch."  When I was boasting to a friend about how I'm getting work without slipping into that dead-end, soul extracting cushion, I said, "We'll see where my career goes, never compromising in any regard for a part," he cleverly responded, "Nowhere!"

Attending and actually volunteering at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City each January inspires me. Patrons and industry film makers and shakers are people with stories to tell, people who choose to impact society positively.  What could be more inspirational than placing oneself in that environment?

La Libertad:  What is the hardest part of your job?

Pam:  I guess I would have to say the juggling.  You have two or three job offers with date conflicts, and you have to decide which one to take, or possibly you've made a commitment to one and a more enticing/more lucrative job comes along, but you must stick to your original confirmation.  And you must.  Reputation in this profession is not to be under valued.

La Libertad:  What foreign languages do you read write or speak?

Pam:  None other than conversational French, with barely enough finesse or savvy to do anything other than travel with.

La Libertad:  Where have you traveled?

Pam:  That's another interview altogether; I worked as a flight attendant for over ten years.

La Libertad:  We look forward to conducting that interview.

What are your career goals?

Pam:  I imagine my career goals are quite modest and humble by design.  I want to join S.A.G. [the Screen Actors Guild], and I would like to make a living as an actor.

La Libertad:  What projects are you working on?

Pam:  I was the creative director, and supplied some video footage and photography and writing, as well as making some powerful editing decisions on a wonderful new documentary about the life of Bing Crosby.  That project is the lifetime work of Chris Crosby, and it's in completion at the moment.

I recently signed a contract to appear as featured background, playing the part of an evangelist in a horror film called As Evil Does, starring Dorian Missick and Bill Cobbs.

Attending Fashion Week Gala

And I'm up for a role as a professor in a T.V. series, and they keep corresponding with me, saying please stand by, but I still have not heard...  A recent e-mail stated they are now deciding between me and one other actor, so the pressure is on.

Additionally, I agreed to accept a lead role in a short film that will be written and produced by the talented Michael R. Barnard.  He is pulling that project together as we speak.  Michael has been a long time fan of my son's music, so I'm twisting David's arm to have Michael license one of his songs for the upcoming "short" film.

I just completed a long term contract with Pearl Glow where I was a face model for their new cosmetic line, and they're going to be reaching out for one of us girls to do their commercials.  I just loved working with that company, so I'm hoping that it's me. Their products are truly wonderful.

La Libertad:  What upcoming events are you going to attend?

Pam:  I'm actually a loner!  I am drawn to volunteerism and
philanthropic... endeavors [such] as supporting Project Angel Food, soup kitchens - things of that nature, but I haven't had a lot of time because I have been lucky in getting a little bit of work in this town.  So I plead guilty, and I haven't been participating as my conscience would dictate.  But I plan to.  As far as social events or networking in the industry, I'm lax in attending those, as well.  And it's not for lack of being on multiple guest lists.  There are very generous people in this town.

La Libertad:  What links would you like to share?

Pam:  www.imdb.com/name/nm6681092

As far as links, my IMDb is my preferred link BECAUSE, on my photos there, I often type info to lead to other projects I've done.

Our Cover Model: Kenneith H. Perrin

Saturday, April 28, 2015, Mr. Perrin introduced himself to me on the set of Deadly Prank, as "Kenneith," and asked me how long I had been in "the business."  He told me that was his first day working as an actor on a film set.  We enjoyed working together, playing the roles of co-working bank employees.  We discussed various subjects, including politics and religion, and the fact that, although he never served in the military himself, his father served in the U.S. Army.  What piqued our interest most was his claim that he was a musician.  Based on our research, he is not only a musician, but a good one!  Judge for yourself at:

soundcloud.com/kenneithperrin

La Libertad:  Where were you born?

Kenneith:  Heerlen, The Netherlands.

La Libertad:  Where do you currently reside?

Kenneith:
Los Angeles, California.

La Libertad:  What is/are your occupation(s)?

Kenneith:
I am a singer/entertainer/songwriter.  Just starting to add the credit of actor under my belt...

La Libertad:  What do you love most about your work?

Kenneith:
Reaching people's hearts, souls, and minds with the gift of music.  It can be life changing for so many people.  I know it has been for me.

La Libertad:  What talents and hobbies do you have?

Kenneith:
I enjoy tennis, bowling, coffee mug collecting; and hanging out at the beach.  I am also an avid reader.  I love reading the Bible (re-reading it again all the way through for the third time); autobiographies (especially musician or entertainer) and history books about certain geographical locations.  Watching Seventies sci-fi television shows is another favorite thing to do; Movie buff for sure.  I could just spend a whole Saturday lying on the couch with popcorn and Coca-Cola - movie binging well in the wee hours.

Also enjoy listening to old vinyl records from my childhood. Most recently started taking an interest in photography. I get snap happy with my i-phone and have created some really great shots.

La Libertad:  What inspires you?

Kenneith:
Hearing success stories of people living their dreams. Seeing people freed from bondages or entrapments of any kind (these include self-imposed or created by circumstances beyond their control).

La Libertad:  What is the hardest part of your job(s)?

Kenneith:
Good question!  Probably the hardest part is just remaining consistent in everything when it comes to being an artist....consistently releasing content; consistently engaging with the fans; consistently staying true to the artistic vision...

La Libertad:  What foreign languages, if any, do you read, write, and/or speak?

Kenneith:
I am an intermediate Spanish speaker and writer.  Very romantic language, though. I would like to learn French, since I found out my last name Perrin is of French-English origin.

La Libertad:  Where have you traveled?

Kenneith:
All throughout the United States, Germany, Czech Republic; Austria; and Canada.  I am going back to Canada in the fall to do some shows.  Would like to go to Greece, Italy, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand.

La Libertad:  What are your career goals?

Kenneith:
[I am] currently in negotiations with a small indie record label, which I'm really excited about signing with.  This has been a long time dream of mine, and it is so rewarding to see it is finally happening. I would also like to do more background and acting roles.

I am an attorney, so eventually I would like to create an artist/entertainer consulting business that assists those involved in the arts with intellectual property issues. I think it is important to know how to manage your art and to be aware of how valuable it can be even when you, as the artist, may not recognize the value or worth of your own contributions.

I tend to do entertainment legal work during my down time with music, but lately the music has been in full speed, so I'm having to push the legal activities aside. I like helping with licensing requests, copyright researching, management contracts, etc. because I feel like I'm giving back to the art community in a practical way. But music is first and foremost.

That's where my passion lies, so my career goals will naturally center around that.

La Libertad:  What projects are you working on?

Kenneith:
Wow!  Quite a bit is going on. I just released a new album earlier this year, so I'm starting to tour nationally to promote it. The goal is to have thirty plus shows. I'm well into almost a fourth of those now. I'm undertaking the first steps toward writing my first musical for broadway.

I am also working on a special tribute album of positive music.  I recently was introduced to this genre by my professor Chris Fletcher. It's been really incredible because the genre focuses on vocals and the organic feel of music, while combining uplifting and/or introspective lyrics. I'm also writing songs for two new EPs (styles-gospel and rock/soul). Lastly, I've been recording vocals on select tracks for two dance/E.D.M [Electronic Dance Music] producers in France.

I currently attend the Musicians Institute, which has been a great experience thus far.  I am singing on demos, co-writing songs for artist showcases, doing background vocals for other up and coming artists, and developing new business ventures with my colleagues. It's always great to work with other fellow creative people because you learn so much.

La Libertad:  What upcoming events, if any, do you intend to participate in?

Kenneith:
I missed Lynda Carter in concert at the Catalina Jazz Club this past weekend [March 28].  I was looking forward to going, but was on location for my first feature film [Deadly Prank, Kamran Delan, Director, starring Jesse Woodrow], doing background acting work.  Had an amazing experience with fellow crew members and actors on set.  I am definitely participating in more of those in the future.  I would also like to participate in some comedy "improv" [improvisation] shows, visit historical/cultural museums, and serve at some of the local soup kitchens.

La Libertad:  What links would you like to share?

La Libertad:  What else, if anything, would you like to tell our readers?

Kenneith:
Whatever your dreams are, pursue them with passion and heart. Never let anyone discourage you from your calling. You will never please everyone.

It's virtually impossible. Just do you. Pray about all that you do and
commit your plans to the Lord (Proverbs 16:3).  Stay encouraged. Your breakthrough is right around the corner!

Autobiographical Article by Frances Hawkins Green

The first singing influence I remember is Fats Domino.  I loved his singing.  When I was about four years old, I borrowed from my uncle an old guitar that my father had sent to him when my father was away in service, in World War II.  It had a long string of yarn for a guitar strap.  I hung that thing around my neck, and wandered around our yard singing Fats Domino's song "I'm Walking," strumming hard on the guitar.

I listened to Grand Ole Opry on the radio every week.  Patsy Cline I admired so much, too.  I remember crying during my childhood when I heard she'd been killed in a plane crash.
Elvis Presley was the biggest influence, all around, of my interest in singing.  I used to sing along with his records, standing in front of a mirror in my bedroom.  I did this every chance I had, often for hours each day, once I had done my chores.  I was my own audience, performing in front of that mirror.

I credit my mother, Gertrude Hawkins, with my writing ability, and my ability to read by the time I was about three years old.  We used to lie on the sofa, when she could catch up on her farm work and house work enough to rest and read to me.  Especially "The Night Before Christmas," in which the entire book is rhyming.  I could read it from cover to cover myself, and, by Sixth Grade, if not earlier, I was a poet.  By Seventh Grade I was so prolific at writing very good poetry, my Seventh Grade teacher read my work to our class.

My teacher was Alice M. Inge.  This wonderful lady took me to our town's newspaper office, praised my talent, and asked them to hire me as a writer.  I worked as a columnist for five years, writing weekly columns about my choice of subjects, from news to suggesting creative places for our young people to have activities, and often incorporating poetry into my columns.

I did not have a guitar until my mid twenties.  A few years later, I began singing in a large Greek restaurant named "The Golden Zeus," approximately forty miles from my hometown.  People came from about a hundred miles away to hear me sing my own songs and play guitar.

A couple from a club in the same town, who sang at a college hotspot in town came to hear me; they had heard about my performance from other people.  They bought me champagne, asked me to sit with them, and asked me to come perform with them, but I declined.  I was a solo act.

A wealthy philanthropist offered to buy a trailer and set me up in Nashville, if I would go there to make it.  I should absolutely have gone.  I would certainly have become wealthy selling the songs I wrote, if not as a singer - probably both.
I was afraid to take the chance.  The offer came from a very respectable person, and I think I just didn't yet trust myself to make the right business decisions; I was afraid of being taken advantage of once I relocated to Nashville - afraid personally and professionally.

I fell in love while working at the Golden Zeus.  Leaving behind a second very bad marriage, my new love took me to New York with him.  He was the love of my life, Nicholas Katsoyannos, the father of my oldest daughter, Scarlet Green.  I took years off from singing publicly and raised my family, continued to write songs and poetry prolificly.

I was one of the poets from all over the world honored for my poetry in Washington, D.C. [District of Columbia], where I received a plaque for my work, and where I was asked to contribute my writing to the World's Largest Poem For Peace, alongside the writing of President Bill Clinton and the Dalai Lama in the same poem.  Johnny Cash and June Carter sang in honor of us who were receiving poetry awards.  That was one of the greatest thrills of my life time, as I had always loved their work.

Florence Henderson awarded us and took photos with the honorees, and also sang for us.  I had loved her from an early age also.

I sang publicly only once in the late 'Nineties, still busy caring for family, my wonderful, beautiful, sweet daughters, Scarlet and Libertad Green.  I continued writing prolifically, songs and poetry, and recording some, alone, and sometimes accompanied on guitar by my former, second husband, James L. Green, who accompanies me on guitar or organ in most of my recordings these last years.  We have worked together on music so many years that we are able to read each other musically.  In the past year or two, I have been blessed with the ability to make up my lyrics as I go.  I will think of a lyric and ask him to follow, picking up the music from my singing, that I can hear inside my head, or he will play a few bars, and I will start immediately thinking of lyrics, and we rush to record right then.

I can think of complete songs as I go, and he follows my singing, and sometimes he will take the music to a different place and I match that with my voice and lyrics.  While the marriage didn't work (it was over in about six months), we make beautiful music each alone or together.

I admire most the singer Janis Joplin, there was no one ever to compare.  When she was alive, I pretty much only heard her sing "Bobbi McGee," which is a terrific song, and she sung it well.  I used to sing it.  Kris Kristofferson wrote it, a wonderful writer and singer.  But most of Janis' other songs (especially the ones she wrote) had so much feeling, they gave you thrills and chills, especially if you know of her personal story.

Amy Winehouse was the next best - most unique after Janis.  Her voice was so unique, her songs so deep in meaning...  I hate that they died from drugs - such a waste.

I don't believe in drugs.  I do believe that we can take all that's great to the world that they had to offer the world - all the great work they did, ignoring anything that we don't like that they did, like drugs.  We have to realize, we don't like everything about anyone - even our own loved ones.  So many other entertainers with so much to give the world we've lost that way!  Let's just pray that others don't fall prey to that.

Lately, I'm most inspired by Raul Malo.  God what a voice!!!
And Lady Gaga!  I watched her performance for Bill and Hillary Clinton - unbelievable talent!  Celine Deon!   Adele!  Wow!!!  For style Cher, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Janis Joplin, and Amy Winehouse, Dolly Parton!!!

I never wanted to be like anyone else.  I liked to be different. Those ladies were particularly like that; each wanted to be different.

Aaron Neville, so handsome and such a unique voice!  I adore his work.

I cannot forget Roy Orbison, who had perhaps the most gifted voice of all males.  I loved him.  Oh, my God, George Jones!!! Wow!!!  Conway Twitty!!!  Lionel Ritchie!!!  Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette - so good!!!

The first song I ever sang with a guitar was by Willie Nelson!!! So much talent!!  "Blue Eyes Cryin' in the Rain"!

I fell in love with one of my first loves to "Wild Thing," a great never outdated song by the fabulous Chip Taylor, who is singing and playing even better and better all the time.  He has a new album coming out right now, which has one of my favorites in it; I think it's titled "F*** All the Perfect People."  His work has such feeling for all people; he knows that all people are important, and he shows that in his work; he transcends the labels of levels of society that so many people people do put labels on.  God bless you for that, Chip Taylor!

I hope and believe that my songs express a lot of what we all feel at times in our life - great love, a tiny bit of happiness, and so much pain and heartbreak!

I have always been about love and never about money.  I have empathy for other people's pain to my own detriment.  Besides my own pain, I feel other people's pain too much.  I have had my heart broken so many times in my life!  I put family first, though they may not all realize that.

I have not had a long lasting personal love, but I have known great love a few times in my life.  I've come to believe I will never find a true, lasting love in my life, and maybe that is what God put me here for, after all, to speak to and for all the lonely and broken hearts out there in this world.  The depth and feeling in my work this last year especially, cannot come from me. It flows so quickly that we can record it the first time it's sung, making up the lyrics as I go - hardly ever a pause - that has to come from God.  Who can do that?  Maybe a few people - an occasional one made up on the spot, but so many one behind the other in one session?  I like to think I have talent, and that I am somewhat intelligent, but this is too many, too deep, and partly because they come from the heart, but this has to be God giving me the words and voice to express for all the broken hearts the pain they cannot express in words themselves.  And may all the broken hearts be comforted, knowing others share their pain. Even most of the happy songs I sing are sad.

James: I've been to most of the States, and I lived in Kansas and Texas.

LA Libertad:  What are your career goals?
James: To continue acting, and direct and produce a movie.

LA Libertad:  What projects are you working on?
James: I just finished playing a role in a Brazilian's movie.  I was filmed driving my yellow, '85 Dodge van out at the Four Aces in Palmdale, California.  I think the Director's name was Romeo.

LA Libertad:  What upcoming events, if any, do you intend to participate in?
James: None, but I plan on going back to Virginia for a while, pretty soon.

LA Libertad:  What links would you like to share?
James: I cancelled my YouTube account and all that, but I still have an IMDb page:

www.imdb.com/name/nm2544980

Of course, I'd like to share all of my daughter's links, but you can just Google her name, Libertad Green.

LA Libertad:  What else, if anything, would you like to tell our readers?

James: I'm going to be an international music video producer.  I'm one of the cinematographers for one of my daughter's international music videos:

Interview With William Mortensen Vaughan

LA Libertad:  Where were you born?

WMV:  I was born in Brigham City, Utah, on October 5, 1962, but spent my first three years traveling with my parents, until we settled down briefly near Chicago, Illinois, where my father was born, and is buried, may he rest in peace.  I saw him smiling at me the day he died, so I learned early that dying happy is possible.  He died when I was three, so my mother moved to the Hollywood Hotel, in Salt Lake City, Utah, where I celebrated the first birthday I remember, which was my fifth.  People kept coming over to my mother's apartment, and giving me presents all day.  I asked my mother why this kept happening, and she told me that it was because I had "turned five" that day.  I grilled her on how exactly one went about "turning five," because I wanted to repeat that process every day!  [Laughs.]  Then we moved to Ogden, Utah, where I attended Head Start (hat tip, Black Panthers), elementary school, junior and senior high school, and college.  I graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1981, and briefly attended Weber State College before in became a university.

LA Libertad:  What is your occupation?

WMV:  I am essentially my wife, Libertad Green's personal assistant and photographer.  I have probably taken more photographs of her than anyone else, even though she still gets paid to model by various photographers.  I also spend more time than she does editing and publishing her entertainment eZine, LA Libertad.

LA Libertad:  What do you love most about your work?

WMV:  Freedoom!  The freedom to work at home, with my wife, and set my own schedule.  Unlike the quarter of a century that I served in the military, when I was constantly waiting for phone calls to duty, day and night, my cell phone is off most of the time, now-a-days.  I've learned that people rarely want to talk to me, unless it's to try to persuade me to do something I don't want to do.  With nearly four years of experience in the entertainment industry under my belt, I have learned that most of the gigs I am likely to get as an actor or a model, I will initially be given via e-mail.  Sometimes people want to talk to me on the phone before they hire me, to get a "warm fuzzy" about me, but by then, they've decided I'm the guy they want, based on my e-mail application for their gig.  Therefore, I don't do auditions, or interviews, or anything like that.  Fuel is too expensive.  I don't recall ever getting a job in entertainment that I auditioned or interviewed for in person.

LA Libertad:  What talents and hobbies do you have?

Royal Stewart Mourning Tartan
WMV:  I can do one-armed push-ups and juggle.  I can also read, write, and speak Spanish fluently.  Although I have a thick accent, which I have never bothered to lose, I probably know more about Spanish than most native speakers.  Native English speakers often wonder how that can be, but know very little about English.  I am still in a state of shock after attending Westwood College and discovering how ignorant and uneducated most of their students are.  I met a lady with an Associate's Degree who didn't know what an underscore was called, let alone how to produce it on a keyboard or keypad!  What's really scary is that such ignorant, uneducated, drug-addicted people often end up in job positions with significant power and influence, like Mayor Ford of Toronto, for example.  Besides a lack of basic education, ignorance, and drug addiction, people in our society now-a-days too often embrace violent, criminal behavior.  The police regarded a man named Jeremy Meeks as one of the most dangerous gangsters in Stockton, California, but, apparently because he is so good looking, he received contract offers for modeling and television shows.  The world's general lack of morals and "common sense" is appalling!  In fact, "common sense" is becoming less and less common.

As for hobbies, I started collecting fish last spring.  I hadn't had fish since I was a child and had guppies and turtles.  I had seen Fantail Goldfish and Black Moors, but had never owned any, although I wanted to.  Then, last spring, for some strange reason, I decided it was time to have some.  Unfortunately, I learned the hard way how easily they can be killed.  So far I've lost  Negro I, Horacios I and II, copperhead, Hellboy Joe the crab, Velvet I, and Peanut - seven pets altogether.  I blame Seachem and their faulty products for most of their deaths; however, Velvet was just too old; she was a big, Black Moor who struggled just to move, especially to the surface to eat.  I left Peanut in a small jar with a Tank Nibblers' zucchini pellet.  Goldfish seem to love zucchini.  I've tried raw zucchini, a well the pellets; it's like catnip to them!

With the death of Peanut, I learned not to leave them in cloudy water.  Seachem's Li'l Alert Mates are useless; the gauge read yellow (in the safe range) when I found all of my fish and my crab dead in the water.  Now I use Jungle tablets to keep their water clean and for medicine.

Negro II (whom I started calling Negress, because she seems feminine to me) lost her right, front fin to disease.  By the time I realized something was eating it away, it was too late.  She also had a spot on her back, which started out looking like a grain of salt, and grew into two big, red sores.  I tried Melafix, which I still use to add a pleasant scent to my aquariums, but it didn't help Negress' wounds much.  Then I tried Jungle medicinal tablets and the wounds are gone!  Unfortunately, so is her right, front fin.  There's not even a stump there anymore.  I've started calling her "La Coja," which means "the female cripple," in Spanish.

I have another Black Moor whom I call "La Tuerta," which means "the one-eyed female," in Spanish.

Horacia III, named after Horatio Caine on "C.S.I.:  Miami," is still missing the armor over the gill on her left side.  You can see the red flesh exposed.  No medicine seems to repair that.  Fortunately, she seems unaffected by this as far as her behavior.

I think she lost this piece of armor due to an attack by one of
Black Velvet and Jack-o'-Lanterns
our Siamese Fighting Fish, also known as Bettas.  I put one of them in the aquarium, and it soon started ramming the Goldfish, although they were perhaps ten times as large.  I don't like Siamese Fighting Fish as much as Fantail Goldfish and Black Moors.  Bettas aren't friendly, and I even find them creepy.  Goldfish are much more amicable and affectionate.  I admit, I even kiss them sometimes.  I've heard dolphins are also affectionate and like to kiss.

I have three aquariums now:  The Emerald City, the Pirate Tank, and the Seashell Tank.  I put the medicine in the Pirate Tank, and put La Coja, La Tuerta, Horacia III, and Velvet II in there.  Velvet II has a split belly fin; it's healing now.  I sometimes call the Pirate Tank "the Freak Show."

I also have a calico, Fantail Goldfish, named Calico.  He's my biggest, heaviest fish.  I usually leave him with Blackie, a small, Black Moor.

Even smaller are my two, tiny Black Moors, Cashew and Peanut II.  I wanted to call Peanut I "Moscone," because it looked like a big housefly, but my wife thought that was an ugly name for a cute fish.

When I bought Peanut II, I only meant to buy one tiny, Black Moor to replace Peanut I, but another got into the shopkeeper's net with the first, and refused to get out, so I bought them both, and decided that calling a fish that looked like a housefly "Cashew" made as much sense as calling it "Peanut."

My wife decided to add a blue Betta to our collection, so we have one named Peacock, because its tail reminds us of a peacock's tail, the way he spreads it.  We also have a red Betta, which we call "Red," and a female, which I named "Mudpie," because she's the color of mud, and I found her wallowing in her own feces, neglected on a shelf at Walmart.

My wife thinks I'm becoming a crazy fish geezer, akin the a crazy cat lady.  She's probably right.

Another hobby I indulge in more than ever before, is Black Jack and Liar's Dice, as seen in Pirates of the Caribbean:  Dead Man's Chest.  I have poker chips, cards and dice all over the house now.  I also play in various cyber casinos on my laptop, as well as on my wife's "smart" phone.  It's becoming such an obsession, I'm finally considering the purchase of a smart phone for myself.  I also play Black Jack in Leisure Suit Larry's Casino offline.

By the way, I first saw and played Liar's Dice as part of Leisure Suit Larry 7:  Love For Sail., and was surprised to see the Pirates of the Caribbean playing a version of it in Dead Man's Chest.

LA Libertad:  What inspires you?

WMV:  My wife inspires me.  A woman with no piercings or tattoos, or so much as a parking ticket on her police record!  A woman who was home schooled, but is more knowledgeable and educated than most people who go to college now-a-days!  I told one college student to her face, after reading one of her essays, that if my home-schooled wife saw that essay, she wouldn't believe its author had graduated from high school, let alone that it was a college essay.

Furthermore, my wife has amazing talent.  She can imitate anyone's voice or dance moves.  It gives me chills.  She has degenerative disk disease, and has suffered from chronic back pain since she was eleven years old, but you'd never know it, watching her dance or pose for photographers.  She has also survived sexual assault on three separate occasions, in different States.  Yet she keeps working all day, every day, to advance her careers in entertainment.  In a way, it's annoying, because we never just enjoy anything; every trip is a photo shoot; every place we go is a location.  I can't think of anyone I've worked with who had more of a work ethic than my wife.  I, on the other hand, am like a five-year-old in his fifties, who only wants to play.

LA Libertad:  What is the hardest part of your job(s)?

WMV:  Seeing other people do well financially, in spite of their lack of education and morals, while my wife and I get rejected for superficial reasons, such as age and height.  I had no idea how important being young and tall was in Hollywood.  I also didn't realize how important nepotism was.  I knew Jane Fonda was Hank Fonda's daughter, but it wasn't until recently, when I started working in Hollywood, that I realized how common it is for famous entertainers to be the offspring or descendants of famous and/or wealthy people.  People such as Jay Leno and Tom Hanks who "make it" in Hollywood while living in their cars are the exception, not the rule.

LA Libertad:  What foreign languages, if any, do you read, write, and/or speak?

WMV:  Spanish, of course.  I also know some Portuguese, Italian, and German.

LA Libetad:  Where have you traveled?

WMV:  I've traveled and lived up and down the Americas, from Canada to Uruguay, and around the world, from Puerto Rico to what was West Germany, as well as Saudi Arabia and South Korea - on all continents except Africa and Antarctica.

LA Libertad:  What are your career goals?

WMV:  As far as I'm concerned, my careers (military and entertainment) are behind me.  I simply regard each day as a gift, and try to enjoy it as much as possible.  However, you can look for me as a prison guard, in scenes with Pepe Serna and Ayako Fujitani in Man From Reno, an M1 agent in Jurassic City, and as a security guard in Tangerine.

I am trying to lose about fifty pounds, but it's a struggle, especially now that I hold a Never Ending Pasta Pass at Olive Garden Italian Kitchens.  Oh, yeah!  I was one of only one thousand people to get such a pass.  I also bought one for my wife, but she's not as enthused about it as I am.

LA Libertad:  What projects are you working on?

WMV:  My wife is preparing to do a documentary to raise awareness of sexual assault and its aftermath.

LA Libertad:  What upcoming events, if any, do you intend to participate in?

WMV:  My wife plans on making a trip across America to film her documentary.  I'm going to try to support her as much as reasonably possible.  It will be my first credit on IMDb as an Executive Producer.

LA Libertad:  What links would you like to share?

LA Libertad:  What else, if anything, would you like to tell our readers?

WMV:  I could go on and on, but the Editor-in-Chief would censor most of it, so, suffice it to say that I'm keeping an eye on the Mid-term Elections this year, and Benjamin Shapiro, Dinesh D'Souza, Trey Gowdy, Ben Carson, Darrell Issa, James O'Keefe, and Joe Arpaio are my heroes!  As are Kris (“Tanto”) Paronto,  Mark (“Oz”) Geist, and John (“Tig”) Tiegen...
