Interview With Jessica Cary Rudelle Fiers

Jessica Cary Rudelle Fiers
Jessica Fiers
Brittany Carter of Angelz Nation Booking referred us to J. Cary Rudelle Fiers - Jessica Fiers for short.  Jessica tells us that she "wanted to be an actor since [she] was a child" and cannot "recall a moment where she did not want to act," having written her "first screenplay when [she] was ten because [she] needed a script to act off of."

At age twelve, she adds, she "joined a junior theater troupe" and "performed variety sketches with [her] peers throughout the summer.

"In high school, [she] took theater classes and was selected to play a starring role in 'Joe Turner’s Come and Gone' [by August Wilson] before the play was inexplicably cancelled.

"While in college, as an English major (with a focus on textual and literary analysis), [she] participated in Shakespeare plays and took theater and acting courses.

"After graduation, [she] took two more acting classes - one with the extraordinary Marc Horwitz of the Performance Workshop Theatre in Baltimore...

"After a semester in both post-graduate courses, [she] decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue [her] dream of film acting.  [She] joined Central Casting nine days after moving to Los Angeles and [has] been in two productions — one independent video and one television show.

"Acting has always been a passion of [hers], and [she] cannot imagine [her] life without it.  [She does] not want to do anything other than act and [she knows] that being a part of Angelz Nation Global Group will help [her] achieve [her] dream.  Although [she] began acting in a cohort at age twelve, [she has] studied theater in high school and college, and [has] participated in post-graduate, group-based and individualized, intensive workshops.  [She has] studied the Linklater, Alexander, and Hagan techniques while also mastering various movement, key-wording, and mnemonic devices...  She has] attended performance workshops with Marc Horwitz (various theatres in London and along the East Coast), Jeff Greenberg ('Modern Family'), and Morgan Redfield Smith ('Grey’s Anatomy'); their overall critique of [her] work [she claims] has been positive."

La Libertad:  What hobbies and talents do you have?

Jessica:  I think that I am fit to be an actor because I am extremely versatile when it comes to character representation; I have many years of performance training; I can take direction and constructive criticism; and I absolutely love acting more than anything in the world.  I have been in the corporate world for five years, and have been manager of multiple departments, including human resources, compliance, and quality control; I have been very successful in the professional world, and
left a well-established job to come to Los Angeles because this is what I truly want...

I eat only poultry, fish, and vegetables.  I walk at least two miles every day after work.  Although I do not work out at a gym, I train on my own through dance or walking.  In my high school military program, run by the United States Marine Corps, I was made to train on a daily basis, and I boxed on the side for my own enjoyment.  I have an athletic build, and I do not like to consume too many sweets.

La Libertad:  What languages can you read, write, speak, and understand?

Jessica:  I can speak in four distinct dialects...

La Libertad:  What are your career goals?

Jessica:  Ultimately, my goal is to be the equivalent of Meryl Streep or Viola Davis in terms of success.  I want my name to be known, and I want to star in both dramatic and comedic films and television productions.  I want to live in my art; my goal is to be the greatest actor of my generation.  I was raised by two soldiers, and... throughout my high school years... I was shaped to be disciplined, focused, and dedicated.  I am willing to commit to this because in order to be an actor, you must be willing to commit one hundred percent

La Libertad:  Where do you currently reside?

Jessica:  I live in Encino, California, and yes, I have my own vehicle.

La Libertad:  What inspires you?

Jessica:  I am extremely friendly and patient with people.  I love working with people who are as dedicated to this profession as I am/hope to be.  I am tactful, and respect the hierarchy in film production.  Respect is a huge part of acting.  A person can be the greatest actor that the world has ever seen, but if they are disrespectful or unable to work well with others, their career will go nowhere.

La Libertad:  What else would you like to tell our readers?

Jessica:  I will model in any kind of clothing; I do not have any limitations.  Although I would not prefer to model nude, I am willing to discuss the circumstances if the issue presented itself.  I will travel, within one hundred miles, depending on the gig, I have a full time job at the moment, and am typically only available on the weekends and after seven p.m.
